Privacy policy
This policy covers the elOS pre-launch website at elos.is, in English, Portuguese and Estonian, and the interest form on it. The elOS product is not publicly available yet. It will have its own privacy policy before launch.
Who is responsible
elOS decides how the information you send through this website is used, and is responsible for it. For any privacy question or request, write to legal@elos.is.
What we collect
- Interest form. Your name or organization, your email address, the type of interest you choose, and the language of the page you used. Nothing else is asked for.
- Technical data. When you load a page, the hosting provider processes your IP address, browser type and the page requested, in order to deliver the page and protect the site from abuse.
- Fonts. The site loads its typefaces from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google, which receives your IP address and browser information.
The site itself sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising trackers.
How we use it, and why
- To record your interest in elOS.
- To send occasional product updates, pilot invitations, beta invitations and launch notes.
- To understand which types of organizations are interested in the product.
We use your form details because you asked us to, by submitting the form (your consent). You can withdraw it at any time. Technical data is processed because we have a legitimate interest in delivering and securing the site. We never sell your information or use it for advertising.
Who processes it for us
- Brevo (France): stores the interest list and sends our emails. Your form is sent from your browser directly to Brevo.
- Microsoft Azure: hosts and delivers this website.
- Google Fonts: delivers the typefaces.
Where a provider processes data outside the European Economic Area, it does so under the safeguards the GDPR requires, such as Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
How long we keep it
We keep interest-list details only while they are useful for pre-launch communication, or until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them, whichever comes first. Every email we send has an unsubscribe link.
Your rights
Under the GDPR, Brazil's LGPD and similar laws, you can ask to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your information, and to restrict or object to its use. Write to legal@elos.is and we will reply within 30 days. You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority, for example the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate (Andmekaitse Inspektsioon) or Brazil's ANPD.
Security
The site is served only over HTTPS. Access to the interest list is limited to the people who need it for the purposes above.
Children
This website is not aimed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date at the top.
